What you’re looking at
Each dot is a city, colored by its air quality right now on the US EPA’s 0–500 scale: green is good, yellow moderate, and orange through purple and magenta get progressively worse. Tap a city, or spin it into the ring, to see the reading, what it means for being outside, the next 24 hours and the pollutants behind it.
Readings are modeled estimates from Open-Meteo, based on the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service, refreshed hourly. They’re good for a picture of the world but can differ from your local monitor, especially near wildfires or busy roads. For health decisions, check your local air-quality agency (in the US, AirNow.gov) and follow your doctor’s advice.
